Noise floor spectrograms at 48000
The spectrogram of a linear sine sweep can summarize the
ADC and
DAC performance of an audio device
in a single image. The noise floors of several audio devices at 48000 (or
their native sample rate) are compared below. Signal generation and
collection were in full duplex loopback mode with both the ADC and DAC set to
the device's native sample rate.
This gallery is part of the Full Duplex DAQ comparison
survey.
Most of the spectrogram images have very clean noise floors.
The Cirrus Logic CS4236B (44100) and the Sound Blaster Vibra16X ISA card have
noise floor spectrograms that look almost identical. This is because the
Vibra16X is a half duplex card and the CS4236B was used as the test sink.
